Elizabeth got her start in financial services in the credit industry, with nearly 15 years in sales and leadership over the Central Florida market.
In her time with Credit Data Services and Experian, she honed her technical and communication skills and discovered the power of education in reaching business objectives. During the economic downturn, Elizabeth moved to Austin, TX and took the opportunity to focus on her own education and shift her career focus. In 6 years, she attended Austin Community College, University of Texas at Austin, and Texas State University. She taught a range of topics from Excel to Human Communication and earned 5 degrees, culminating in a Master of Arts in Training & Development. Elizabeth is now the Assistant Vice President of National Training with DHI Mortgage, the lending arm of D.R. Horton, America’s #1 Builder. Combining her business acumen and higher education specialization, she leads her team in delivering best-in-class training, such as new hire orientation, origination and processing systems, mortgage mastery for recent college grads, sales and communication, advanced leadership skills, diversity/equity/inclusion initiatives, and loan product launches. Mortgage trade associations are also focus, with Elizabeth currently serving as the TMBA Education Symposium Co-Chair and a member of the TMBA DEI Committee, TMBA Annual Convention Committee, and AREAA National Mortgage Committee. Elizabeth enjoys exploring different cultures and cuisine with her husband, Tom, and traveling to unique destinations with her 2 sons, daughter-in-law, and 2 granddaughters. Future goals include earning her PhD and publishing more writing.
