Jeffrey E. BodeJeffrey E. Bode

Jeff is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of Click n’ Close, formerly known as Mid America Mortgage. Having been in mortgage banking since 1981, Bode founded and ran the original iteration of Mid America Mortgage in 1989, during which time he also became the first lender to develop an interface inside Calyx Point.

In 2003, Bode sold Mid America to Aegis Mortgage and focused on developing Mortgage Machine, a proprietary loan origination system (LOS) and creating a tax lien business, which originated the highest amount of loans of all single-family tax lien companies in Texas in the first two years. He re-entered the mortgage market in 2007, and in 2010, he purchased Schmidt Mortgage Company and reorganized its operations to incorporate the loan production of another mortgage operating unit he managed prior to the acquisition, resulting in the re-emergence of Mid America Mortgage in December 2011. Captain Fleming has been deployed overseas 8 times with the U.S. Army’s Elite 75th Ranger Regiment in support of both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He has been wounded in combat on three separate occasions (3 gunshot wounds, 2 hand grenades) and has undergone 23 surgeries, one of which resulted in the amputation of his left leg. While most would assume this type of injury would conclude military service, Captain Fleming fought hard to be cleared to deploy and was re-deployed five times since his injuries, each time serving in a combat operations position. After serving with distinction and receiving numerous awards and decorations including the Meritorious Service Medal, Two Bronze Star medals with Valor and Three Purple Hearts, he retired from active duty and continues to serve our country in other capacities. He has completed Marathons , Triathlons, Spartan Races and Cycling events throughout the United States to benefit Veterans & First Responders and raise awareness for Wounded Service Members! His story of resilience and perseverance has been heard by Fortune 500 companies, professional and collegiate athletes around the country!

Admiral William H. McRaven is a retired U.S. Navy Four-Star admiral and the former Chancellor of the University of Texas System.

During his time in the military, he commanded special operations forces at every level, eventually taking charge of the U.S. Special Operations Command. His career included combat during Desert Storm and both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He commanded the troops that captured Saddam Hussein and rescued Captain Phillips. McRaven is also credited with developing the plan and leading the Osama bin Laden mission in 2011. As the Chancellor of the UT System, he led one of the nation’s largest and most respected systems of higher education. As the chief executive officer of the UT System, McRaven oversaw 14 institutions that educated 220,000 students, and employed 20,000 faculty and more than 80,000 health care professionals, researchers, and staff. McRaven is a recognized national authority on U.S. foreign policy and has advised Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and other U.S. leaders on defense issues. He currently serves on the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the National Football Foundation, and the Board of Directors of CoconoPhilips. McRaven has been recognized for his leadership numerous times. In 2011, he was the first runner-up for TIME magazine’s “Person of the Year.” In 2012, Foreign Policy magazine named McRaven one of the nation’s “Top 10 Foreign Policy Experts.” In 2014, Politico magazine named McRaven one of the “Politico 50,” citing his leadership as instrumental in cutting though Washington bureaucracy. In 2015, he received the Intrepid Freedom Award for his distinguished service in defending the values of democracy. In 2016, McRaven was named the recipient of the Ambassador Richard M. Helms Award by the CIA Officers’ Memorial Foundation and in 2018, he received the Judge William H. Webster Distinguished Service Award for a lifetime of service to the nation. Gisele currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Homeownership Council of America and the National Advisory Council of the National Housing Conference. In 2019, Women in Housing & Finance recognized Gisele’s accomplishments with the prestigious “WHF 40 under 40” award. Gisele became the first Black woman to lead the Office of External Affairs for a federal depository regulator with her appointment as Deputy Chief of Staff for the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Gisele’s achievements at NCUA included the launch of ACCESS, the agency’s financial inclusion initiative. Gisele secured key legislative victories in the landmark CARES Act of 2020 and the Fiscal Year 2021 Continuing Appropriations law that resulted in an additional $20 billion in reserve liquidity and regulatory relief for the credit union system. Gisele also served as the NCUA Chairman’s representative on the Financial Stability Oversight Council Deputies Committee. Gisele led the Office of Single-Family Housing of the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) from 2017-2019 where she oversaw a team of over 700 staff and directed policy in the $1.2 trillion program for low- and moderate-income homebuyers. She expanded homeownership opportunities for borrowers seeking FHA financing for condominiums by finalizing the 2019 Condominium Rule. Gisele reduced regulatory burden by streamlining FHA’s core compliance forms and processes, the Annual Lender Certification, the Loan Certification and the Defect Taxonomy. Gisele successfully worked with Congress to secure over $40 million in multi-year funding for FHA Catalyst, a data-driven and fiscally responsible initiative to improve FHA I.T. systems. Earlier in her career, Gisele held roles at MetLife Inc. and at the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services. On behalf of MetLife, Gisele successfully lobbied for the enactment of the Insurance Capital Standards Clarification Act of 2014, the first substantive amendment to the Dodd-Frank Act. Between 2015-2017, Gisele was responsible for championing bills reported favorably by the U.S. House of Representatives, the Senate Banking Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee. During her tenure on the Professional Staff of the Financial Services Committee, Gisele drafted housing provisions enacted in the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. Gisele graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in History.

Larry Temple graduated from The University of Texas School of Law with honors in 1959. After serving as a Law Clerk to US Supreme Court Justice Tom Clark (1959-1960), he was an Associate with the Austin law firm of Powell, Rauhut, McGinnis, Reavley & Lochridge from July 1960 to January 1963.
